Thialf Record Races 2022 (TRR2022)
On Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 March, 2022 the International Masters’ Thialf Record Races (TRR2022) will be organized. On this page (which will be updated continuously) we will keep you informed about this international competition.
Registration
Dutch masters must register via the normal registering site. All other masters register via the IMSSC site. Here you find the announcement.
Competitions
Ladies en men (from age group 30) four distance competitions and single distances:
– Sprint (500 m, 1.000 m, 500 m, 1.000 m)
– Allround Small (500 m, 1.500 m, 1.000 m, 3.000 m)
– Allround Normal (500 m, 3.000 m, 1.500 m and 5.000 m)
– Allround Big (500 m, 5.000 m, 1.500 m and 10.000 m)
– 3.000 m
– 5.000 m
– 10.000 m

Wednesday 16 March:
- 10:00h Allround and Sprint competitions
- 14:00h Single distances 10.000m, 5.000m and 3.000m
- 17:00h End of the competition day
Thursday 17 March:
- 10:00h Allround and Sprint competitions

Sportity App
Via the Sportity App you will be informed about the TRR2022 about important notices, start lists, time schedules and results. Load this app on your handy, register at “MCLN/Schaatscircuit.nl” with password “MCLN2021”.
On day 1 ALL participants have to register at the registration table!
This is on the press stand (in the corner near the 500m finish):
– Allround and Sprint competitors: before 09:30
– Single distance 3.000m competitors: before 13:30
– Single distance 5.000m competitors: before 14:00
– Single distance 10.000m competitors: before 14:30
Corona measures: only together we can provide a safe sporty environment
There are no corona measures in the rink. But, let us make a safe competition. So:
- Do you have corona-related complaints? Stay home and get tested.
- It remains wise to adhere to advice that demonstrably limit the spread of the virus:
- Don’t shake hands
- No hugs
- Wash your hands regularly
- Coughing and sneezing in the elbow
- Keeping a distance.
Transponder
All distances except the 500m will be skated with transponder. You will get your transponder before your race at the start.
Training possibilities
Thialf Heerenveen
In the weekend before the TRR, Thialf will be closed for training because of the World Cup Final which takes place there. On next days the training possibilities are:
Monday 14 March: 11.30-15.00
Tuesday 15 March: 11.30-15.00
Wednesday 16 March: 20.15-22.30

In Leeuwarden, there are next possibilities:
Saturday 12 March: 12.00-16.00
Sunday 13 March: 08.00-09.25 and 11.00-16.30
Monday 14 March: 09.45-12.00 and 13.30-15.45
Tuesday 15 March: 13.30-15.45 and 20.15-22.00
Wednesday 16 March: closed because of competition “De Zilveren Bal”
